Description

"Alit HaErek" is an Israeli brand of the Arak beverage produced by the Galil Winery, Yosef Gold & Sons, located in Haifa. The beverage contains 40% alcohol and dominates the category of alcoholic anise beverages in Israel. In addition to "Alit HaErek," the winery produces other alcoholic beverages such as "Aluf HaErek" and "Emir HaErek."

The winery was established in 1824 by the Gold family in Safed, engaged in the production of vodka. Over time, their products did not find favor among the local population, which included residents of Haifa and Arabs. As a result, they decided to create the Arak beverage, which gained popularity in the region.

Arak is distilled three times in the Sire distillery and is produced at the winery in Tirat Carmel. The information is accurate as of the last update and is associated with a label featuring two deer as a symbol.
