It is composed of various whiskey types from barrels that were aged in different locations, including Bere Island, Tenerife, Sweet Sercial, and Caravelas Hole. The whiskey is crafted using a "cask-cutting" method, in which old wine casks are filled with new spirit. It is a single malt whiskey, meaning it is made solely from malted barley and is not a blend.

Teeling Single Malt presents aromas of fresh fruits and flowers, including green apples and golden apples, as well as hints of spices like ginger and cinnamon. The flavors are a complex mix of citrus blossoms and touches of dried fruits, dried figs, and sweet oranges.
